Ken's Naperville Real Estate Blog : "NO WONDER NOBODY BUYS HOMES!"

"NO WONDER NOBODY BUYS HOMES!"

"This is awful..."

It was Nicole, my wife.  She was looking through our files...

"No wonder nobody buys homes!"

She was looking for our 2007 tax returns.  She was frustrated...

She had been gathering the documents we will need before we apply for a mortgage...

We hope to buy a home in Naperville by the end of 2009.  We have contacted a mortgage broker, and he sent us what we need to get started.

We are very excited about today's real estate market...

The dramatic drop in prices, the $8000 tax credit, and the low down payment requirement (3.5%) on FHA loans is bringing my family into the real estate market sooner than I had hoped.

We are just getting started...

I just helped my son fill out similar papers-- well basically I talked to him while he was doing it- but WOW your wife is right--it is a daunting task!

Oh yes, it is so frustrating but well worth the effort!  Just keep your eyes on the end prize!  And congratulations on your leap into real estate!

It is a undertaking but think of the price at the end.

Hi Ken... my clients need to locate past tax returns for short sale packets and they always seem to be the hardest thing for people to locate!  Good luck on your home purchase!

Hi Steve, Huiting, Anne, Bettina, Kathy, Montana, Ray+Elaine, and Jen.  Thanks for reading.

My wife actually likes to fill out paperwork.  She doesn't like tracking down documents!

Thanks everyone, we have some time to do it right.  Feels good.
