Ken's Naperville Real Estate Blog : Facebook Business Page "Impressions"

Facebook Business Page "Impressions"

Facebook, still my favorite site for social media, has recently introduced a new feature that makes it very easy to measure the impact of a Facebook Business Page...

Impressions, by Facebook's definition, are the "raw number of times the post has been seen on your wall and the newsfeed of your fans."

The more times your posts are seen, the more exposure you are getting from those posts.  As with all marketing, the more exposure, the better...

Facebook, which has continued to improve the tracking for the business page, started posting the number of Impressions for posts in the last few weeks.  Located just under each post on your business page, the impression statistic is easy to understand and follow.

I recently ran a short post on my business page, Ken Tracy Real Estate, about one of my favorite local restaurants, Clara's Pasta.  I ran the post two weeks ago, and because of the impressions feature, I now know the post has been seen over 900 times...

Clara's Pasta
Clara's Pasta

That's a nice amount of exposure for me, my business pages, AND Clara's Pasta.

A win win win.  Facebook helps me track it with their new feature...

Great info.  Thanks.  I didn't know about this.  I am going to go check mine right now.  Thanks again!

Good information for Facebook users. Time will tell if the number of impressions relates to business response. I get more impressions with flower and art pictures than with real estate posts.

See you on Facebook!

Happy Holidays from your friend in Maryland.

I always wondered what those impressions were - so thanks for the information. I have a long way to go to reach 900. My highest one is only 200+ but I also have way fewer followers!

I just went to my business page and checked the impressions for my posts.  Thanks for the info.

PS -- Facebook should pay you for training so many of us on using and maximizing their site.  :)

Ken ~ I've seen the impressions listed below the posts, but hadn't taken the time to see what they were exactly. I'll have to keep a closer eye on it. Thanks for the posts!

Ken:  As far as I'm concerned ... you can't get enough attention and press for Clara's!  Our family is a huge fan of theirs.  Great info contained here ... and it's much appreciated.  Hoping for a great, busy, and prosperous New Year!

Hi Gene, Chris, Karen, Peggy, and Larry.  Thanks so much!

I am a big fan of FB.  Seems so easy.  I think it will continue to grow, and like all the features they add...

Karen, I would love to make a buck for my FB posts, but for now I will just have to enjoy the good feeling of sharing.:)

Thanks again,
