Ken's Naperville Real Estate Blog : HELP!

HELP!

I need proof Active Rain.  I need your help.  I have recently become addicted to this site.  I turn to it even before the sports page in the morning.  My problem is...

That my wife is, how do I say, somewhat skeptical of the, how do I say, financial benefit of blogging.

Sure, she is impressed with the numbers that I throw at her.  "Great Ken.  You are getting lots of clicks.  Oh wow, another comment on your post."

"But honey, I got a Featured Post", I defend myself.

"Great Ken, how are we paying our rent?"  That one always stumps me.  My point is...

I need some proof.  Yes, we all love great friends around the country, and we love having our websites get more activity.  But I need stories of MONEY!

Any listing, buyer, seller, referral, anything.  Scheduled will do.  Closed would be better.

Help me Active Rain, you're my only hope.

Hang in there, it WILL happen! Clients will begin commenting, just make sure you're writing for the right readers  (consumers) and not just for us here "in the rain". It's a fine line....

If you are doing things right just Google your title and show her your number one.  Also just start printing the sucess stories we read every day.  Oh I expect to make 25K this year from blogging

Hi Ken,

So far in the 5 months or so that I've been on Active Rain, I've gotten two listings, found a great agent to refer business to, and have gotten a call from an agent in New York who has family here (who live about a mile away) who need to sell their home in the next 6 months or so. 

It does work!

Hello Ken,

I have a buyer I am meeting next Sunday that is here for their house hunting trip (being transferring into area and must buy during that week) that contacted me originally through Active Rain.  Also, I have picked up other buyers from AR in the past.  My website traffic proves that a substantially portion of my traffic coming into my website comes from AR.

Hi Ken,

It will happen. Just give it time. I found a Florida agent on AR and she sold a referral for me. I made some money from that and all I did is read her blog and called and spoke to her.

I sold my own home in htis market in 5 days from a post on ActiveRain.com, I have had several lists and sales, and many agent referrals that have already closed!  Activerain works!
